The Swift Trawler 35 is the seventh model in the Swift Trawler line built by Beneteau. This line revolutionizes the Trawler world by bringing it speed. It maintains all of the Trawler market principles including conviviality and family oriented travel. It was a big challenge to design the Swift Trawler 35 because the Swift Trawler 34 was the line’s bestseller in addition to being the market leader in the Trawler segment.
To meet this challenge, the Swift Trawler 35 adopted all the advantages of the Swift Trawler 34, as well as the evolutions and innovations from the Swift Trawler 30.
Swift Trawler 35: Easy maneuvering and performances
The main revolution on the Swift Trawler 35 is firstly its hull designed by Beneteau Power, the Beneteau naval architecture division. We wanted to bring more stability to the boat on a semi-planing hull. So, we widened the chines and lengthened the steps to the bow of the boat. The hull deflects better and is much more comfortable when underway. In addition, the single 425 horsepower Cummins engine with shaft drive and 800 liters tank will make this boat among the best in terms of fuel efficiency.
The characteristics of this Swift Trawler 35 are a hull length of 10.89 m overall length is 11,29 m, then the beam of 3.96 m, a fuel tank with a capacity of 800 liters and finally twin 150-liter water tanks.
For more safety the deck layout is asymmetrical. The starboard gangway is very wide at about 37 cm. The bulwarks
on the deck and on the flybridge are above the standard height (between 78 and 80 cm). A gangway door makes for easy access to the dock. The door between the cockpit and the side deck provides better maneuvering visibility and easier movement on board. All over the boat you will find hand rails to hold on to while underway.
The mast was replaced by an arch which is standard equipment. This arch can accommodate all the boat’s electronics. The flybridge deck is flush and the space aft can accommodate two chairs.
The flybridge is a very convivial space, which is why we paid particular attention to the layout with the U-shaped bench, a pilot seat that rotates 360 ° and the teak table. On the flybridge optional equipment includes a drawer fridge, a Bimini or a soft-top.
The cockpit of the Swift Trawler 35 is a large living-space with an
entirely flush deck and includes an innovation introduced by the Swift Trawler 30, the standard open transom. Every element on this boat has been designed to optimize space for life on board, like the flybridge ladder that slides up to the bay window.
The shaft drive leaves the cockpit with ample storage space. Offered as an option for tender storage, there are Besenzoni telescopic davits.
The cockpit space can be a fully enclosed, by this flybridge or the optional rear cockpit enclosure, specially developed by Beneteau. Standard equipment includes a side deck door which also provides shelter from the wind.
Swift Trawler 35: Cosy and friendly space
The wheelhouse of the Swift Trawler 35 has full height glass windows for better visibility and a 360 ° view. This model is offered in a two cabin, one head layout. With the convertible wheelhouse sofa, there are two further berths. The table is removable. So it can easily be taken out of the cockpit to make room for the convertible berth. Port side storage is improved by the asymmetrical starboard gangway.
Optimizing storage was an important goal on this boat which is why the
air conditioning system is now found in the hull. The U-shaped galley is very functional and just right for Trawler customers. Special attention was paid to detail. The galley benefits from the new teak woodwork for the Swift Trawler line. When in place, this removable cushion provides a forward-facing seat for a third person. When the cushion is not in use, it doubles as worktop.
The cockpit has been designed to adapt to every pilots’ taste. It includes a bolster seat, which is also adjustable, and a footrest. This helm station has all the necessary electronic equipment including autopilot and the two thrusters. The bow thruster is standard as well as the flaps.
Trawler owners can open the hinged console for direct access to the electronics.
To the port side there is a guest cabin with bunk beds and to starboard, the head, with a separate shower. Forward is
the owner’s cabin. The owner’s cabin is bathed in natural light thanks to its two portholes and large hull windows. They are also combined with a deck hatch for even better ventilation. The cabin is built with two steps on each side for easy access to the large island berth. The wardrobes have louvered doors for better ventilation. There is also a large storage space under the owner’s double berth.
In conclusion, the Swift Trawler 35 is the perfect traveling companion. It expresses all of the line’s fundamentals, such as ergonomics, safety, and life on board. It also integrates all the latest innovations.
